Our client, a major utility company, is looking for two dynamic Work Management Specialists to join their team at their headquarters in Detroit. 

 

This is a long-term contract role (possible extension or direct hire) with a pay rate of $40 hourly. (benefits available) 



Job Title: Work Management Specialist (2 Positions)

Job Description:


In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating activities between suppliers, our client, and their customers to ensure that all prints, specifications, and preventive maintenance requirements are accurately entered into the Maximo system and are easily accessible. Additionally, you will ensure that spare parts are procured according to needs and oversee the movement of assets to optimize financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prepare work orders for multi-week schedules covering equipment outages, corrective and preventive maintenance, and capital modifications.
  • Collaborate with internal resources, vendors, and contractors to create and execute efficient work packages.
  • Utilize Maximo, SAP, Documentum, EBS, and scheduling software to track and optimize the sequencing of work orders.
  • Develop accurate job plans, resource estimates, and multi-week schedules to ensure maintenance is performed efficiently.
  • Validate resource and job plan estimates against actuals to enhance data quality in Maximo.
  • Manage backlog consolidation requests and complete necessary purchasing and procurement tasks.
  • Foster effective daily interactions with engineering, project management, job supervisors, and specialty vendors.

 

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong coordination, planning, scheduling, and estimating skills.
  • Proficiency with Maximo, Documentum, SAP, EBS, scheduling software, and Office 365.
  • Ability to develop and maintain preventive maintenance work and recommend the most effective use of internal and external resources.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with various levels of job supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Bachelor Degree
