Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Operator and Material Handler to support logistics operations at their Beaumont site. In this critical role, you will coordinate shipping and receiving activities, manage inventory, and ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials, products, and equipment. This position involves both administrative and physical tasks and requires familiarity with warehouse systems, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving: Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, process material documents, create work orders, and maintain accurate shipping/receiving records.
Inventory Management: Receive, store, and distribute materials and products. Maintain organized stockrooms and ensure accurate placement and labeling of items.
Material Handling: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move large items and hazardous materials. Load and unload trucks. Package and prepare items for shipment in compliance with regulations.
Warehouse Operations: Keep the facility clean, safe, and orderly. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of warehouse equipment.
Logistics Coordination: Plan and schedule incoming shipments to optimize storage capacity. Track deliveries and coordinate with vendors, logistics personnel, and customer service teams.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot shipping issues, resolve customer complaints, and create Non-Conformance Management (NCM) reports as needed.
Procurement Support: Order equipment and materials, write purchase orders, and coordinate rentals for job-related tasks.
Administrative Duties: Use systems such as SAP, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel to manage inventory, create notifications, and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior experience in industrial warehousing and logistics
Proficiency in SAP, Outlook, and Excel; experience with SharePoint and Aspen Process Explorer is a plus
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Forklift certification or ability to operate warehouse machinery safely
Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
Understanding of proper packaging methods and material handling requirements
Ability to follow safe work procedures and operate with minimal supervision
Willingness to work day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CT), with some overtime or shift work as needed
