Job Description
Our specialty OEM client has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer. Military or military supplier background is preferred.
Pay rate: $40 - $45 hourly

The successful Supplier Quality Engineer on this long-term contract assignment can expect to do the following:
- Supplier Selection and Evaluation
- Work with Suppliers on APQP/PPAP and sample submission reviews, create corrective actions, and provide guidance on compliance
- Track Supplier performance metrics and trends
- Focus on quality, cost, and delivery metric objectives
- Support other systems engineering teams when possible
Looking for experience with:
- APQP/PPAP
- ISO 9001, TS-16949, IATF-16949
- SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint
- Military/Military Supplier experience
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor Degree, with a concentration in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical or electrical) with 7+ years of experience in a similar role in Automotive, Defense, or Manufacturing industry
- Experience with ISO 9001, TS-16949, IATF-16949
- Proficiency in SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Access
- Confident in conducting Statistical Process Control & Measurement System Analysis
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role with a military supplier
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
- ASQ certification
