Supervisor – Distribution 

Position Type

Schedule
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
 Monday through Sunday
 Must be available to work weekdays and weekends as needed

Pay Rate
$35.00–$40.00 per hour

 
Job Summary
As a Parts Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate daily parts and inventory operations that support maintenance, repair, and preventative activities. This role oversees procurement, vendor coordination, material management, team performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The position is hands-on and requires both leadership and operational oversight in an active airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily parts and inventory operations, including scheduling, work orders, procurement, receiving, and material distribution
  • Lead, train, and mentor team members while promoting safety awareness and customer satisfaction
  • Develop, maintain, and improve processes to ensure parts availability for repair and preventative maintenance
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and performance, negotiate purchases, and monitor contract compliance
  • Verify incoming materials, part numbers, and documentation; resolve shipment discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the CMMS system, ensuring timely data entry and reconciliation
  • Support operational managers by analyzing material usage trends, tracking KPIs, and preparing reports
  • Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, inspections, and compliance with safety programs
  • Participate in shift handovers, team briefings, performance reviews, recruiting, and operational meetings
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of company vehicles, forklifts, and material handling equipment as required
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 2+ years of experience in material purchasing, inventory control, or maintenance support
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in an operational or maintenance environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, industrial, or business-related field
  • Experience in airport operations, airline ground support, or facility maintenance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS or maintenance tracking systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams, and technical documentation
 
Physical Demands
The role regularly requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and clear communication. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in airport operations areas such as warehouses, maintenance shops, and baggage system enclosures. Exposure may include moving mechanical parts, aircraft operations, weather conditions, fumes, vibration, and loud noise levels. Adherence to all safety and PPE requirements is mandatory.
