SR. PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Type: Long-term Contract (possible extension or direct hire)
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead and coordinate product launches across global segments. This role will manage both moderate and highly complex initiatives while ensuring operational readiness, driving technology transfer, and supporting commercial success. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic execution to deliver results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead Product Launches: Direct the Operational Readiness team to manage launches across global markets.
Global Operations Management: Oversee commercial launch activities including manufacturing site selection and technology transfer from R&D or other facilities.
Technology Leadership: Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for startup operations and formulated product processes.
Cross-Functional Planning: Drive pilot trials and development planning for global formulations.
Supply Chain & S&OP: Implement product-related business models and support global sales and operations planning.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities to reduce non-conformance issues (NCMs) and cost of goods (COGs) while balancing business needs with operational constraints.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Hands-on experience with SAP software systems.
Background in Operational Management and/or Project Management.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong communication, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate across diverse technical and business teams.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence and lead.
Willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.
