Job Description

We are working with a great team to assist them in brining aboard a new Software Test Engineer to support embedded and application development for vehicle electronic backbones. 

The Software Test Engineer would be responsible for coordinating with outside teams of software test engineers for the design and development of vehicle and module test script software. 

The role will require creation and implementation of software test best practices and the development and running of a System Integration Lab. This position would be responsible for working with internal customers to achieve desired goals as well as outside partners to develop functional solutions.  
 
This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. 
  
Travel expectation: up to 25%
 
The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Working with a cross functional team of internal and 3rd party resources to institute Software Test Plans and Procedures (STAPP) and best practices for software testing within AM General
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to develop, implement, and maintain software test scripts for multiple projects
  • Ensure software testing is following Cybersecurity guidelines and procedures and that tested software is Cyber secure
  • Develop and run a System Integration Lab with support from 3rd party experts
  • Implement and manage CMMI and CMMC compliant and certified procedures
  • Interact with cross functional AMG team including: Supply Chain, IS&S, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering
  • Interact with outside vendors, partners, and customers

Job Requirements

  • Experience collaborating on programs with internal and external software test teams
  • Experience developing System Integration Lab for HIL and SIL testing
  • Experience developing software test scripts and automation or approving those developed by others
  • Experience developing software test plans and procedures (STAPP) a plus
  • Experience automating tests in Vector HIL toolsets (CANalyzer and CANoe)
  • Cybersecurity best practice testing/software quality assurance knowledge and use of HP Fortify scanner a plus
  • Experience with CMMI and CMMC a plus
  • Experience working in PLM software such as IBM Jazz and requirements software such as CAMEO
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft suite of tools to provide information and updates to upper management
  • Have a related degree in Computer Science or BSEE
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the field
  • Be able to work solo and as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
