Site Manager – Indirect Materials (Confidential Posting)

Location: Wentzville, Missouri
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Salary Range: $60,000 - $63,000 annually

We are looking for a dedicated Site Manager to lead our operations at the Wentzville, MO location. The successful candidate will have a strategic vision to oversee site performance, ensuring alignment with customer contracts and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role demands a proactive approach to operational management, including compliance, process improvement, and strong customer relationship maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Manage site operations with a comprehensive perspective to meet or exceed performance targets as outlined in customer contracts and KPIs.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all site activities are within contractual scope and adhere strictly to established procedures.
  • Project Management: Lead special projects as required by internal teams or customers, driving them to successful completion.
  • Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to anticipate and prevent potential issues, identifying opportunities to enhance customer asset utilization.
  • Team Facilitation: Organize and lead meetings with the site team and customers, effectively communicating goals and addressing concerns.
  • Issue Escalation: Promptly elevate site issues to the Regional Manager when necessary.
  • Process Development: Create and refine processes for job functions that lack documentation or have evolved over time.
  • MRP Planning: Serve as the MRP Planner within SAP, ensuring efficient material requirements planning.
  • Personnel Management: Oversee site staff, including task delegation, training needs assessment, performance evaluations, and fostering positive employee relations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations relevant to site operations.
  • Performance Assessment: Regularly evaluate site performance against established goals and contractual obligations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit all required reports, invoices, and monthly cost savings documents in a timely manner.
  • Audit Participation: Engage in annual financial audits and physical inventory counts as required.
  • Strategic Engagement: Participate in business plan deployments, workshops, and conference calls to contribute to overall business strategy.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support site and organizational goals.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience managing a team of at least 7 people; experience with union employees is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and managerial abilities with effective decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information to groups.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in addressing practical problems with innovative solutions in situations with limited standardization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows XP; experience with SAP MRP planning is essential.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulatory laws affecting site operations.
