Our Client is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Scale House Attendant to join their team at a busy landfill facility in Alvin, Texas. This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Position Overview
As the first point of contact for customers depositing waste materials, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth site operations, accurate payment processing, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and direct incoming traffic safely and efficiently
Calculate and process payments accurately
Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance and safety standards
Enforce PPE and safety requirements for customers and staff
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scale house
Complete data entry, filing, and required administrative reports
Communicate operational concerns to leadership promptly
Participate in company-sponsored trainings and meetings
Support additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
0–4 years of previous work experience
Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
Comfortable working in an environment with dirt, noise, odors, and weather exposure
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
Basic computer and keyboarding proficiency
Work Environment
This role operates in a landfill scale house setting and requires:
Frequent keyboarding and data entry
Exposure to outdoor elements and environmental conditions
Observance of strict safety protocols
