Job Description

Our client is looking for a Respiratory Therapist in Southfield for an initial 13-week contract with the likeliness of an extension/direct conversion. We are only interested in candidates who would like to stay long-term.
 
Hourly Pay Rate: $49.13

Shift: 3 days, 7:00pm-7:30am
 
Job Summary:
- Delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. 
- Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. 
- Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. 
- Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. 
- Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
- If working ICU, there is the possibility of 6 beds (can vary), If working in treatment, 1 to 20 patients (can vary). 
 
Skills and Experience:
- Must have certification RRT** 
- Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Preferred NICU experience
- Must be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care with current license as a Respiratory Therapist with State of Michigan
- BLS
