Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a QS Technician to work at a world class organization that develops and builds specialized ground vehicle systems that get the US Armed Services and our allies to and from their mission safely. This is a long-term contract opportunity!
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and analyze parts on a drawing and digitize for Operator use in recording defects.
- Identify failure modes for every part in individual stations.
- Create material assist views for all components.
- Create necessary views in ATS to allow defect entry for each part.
- Create ATS questions to cover special characteristics in all control plans by station.
- Identify reference assembly instructions for each special characteristic.
- Qualify questions to apply to correct vehicle configurations.
Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma, some college experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of automotive or manufacturing knowledge helpful.
- High attention to detail required.
- Ability to identify special characteristics and failure modes in control plans.
- Ability to analyze drawings.
- Prior experience with draw with touch, Adobe Capture, Illustrator or Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and SPC software.

Office environment with moderate exposure to manufacturing shop floor environment that requires understanding and adherence to safety precautions.
