Job Description
Our specialty OEM client has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer. Military or military supplier background is preferred.
Pay rate $33 - $35 hourly
Due to the governmental nature of the work, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders will be considered.
The successful Quality Engineer on this long-term contract assignment can expect to do the following:
- Collaborates with cross-functional team to determine root causes and potential corrective actions related to design and reliability deficiencies
- Establish quality procedures, processes, and acceptance standards
- Lead and manage Quality System changes
- Support other systems engineering teams when possible
Looking for experience with:
- PPAP
- Automobile inspection
- Heavy trucks/equipment
- Military/Military Supplier experience
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor Degree, with a concentration in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical or electrical) with 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Hands-on experience and “roll up the sleeves” mindset
- Knowledge of DoD contract requirements
- Six Sigma
- Proficiency in SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Access
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role with a military supplier
- Experience with ISO 9001 and TS-16949
