Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Chemist to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials, in-process products, and final products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high standards and adhering to industry regulations.
This is a long-term contract role. (possible extension or direct hire.) Pay Rate: $24.00 hourly. Benefits available.
Responsibilities
Organize and prioritize testing and analysis workload.
Perform analyses using established methods, including HPLC, GC, AAS, ICP, KF Titrators, pH meters, and Brookfield Viscometers.
Document results in SAP for raw materials, in-process, and final product samples.
Release final products based on customer specifications.
Approve raw materials for production use based on established specifications.
Assist in inspections for non-conforming products and participate in root cause analysis as required.
Actively engage in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and compliance.
Support ISO 9001, IATF 16949, EFfCI, ISO 14001, and RCMS systems.
Adhere to assigned shift schedules and ensure proper shift relief.
Schedule
Initial training period (approximately 2-3 months): Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
After training: Night Shift (Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM).
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Experience with laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, AAS, and ICP is highly desirable.
Familiarity with ISO and IATF systems is a plus.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment to safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
