Key Responsibilities:

·         Conduct plant monitoring testing on cottonseed for quality standards.

·         Perform quality checks including, but not limited to:

·         Truck Sampling

·         Sample De-Linting

·         Acid Percentage

·         Dryer Temperature

·         Buffer Temperature

·         Bushel Weights

·         pH levels

·         Cleanout Percentages

·         Seed Count

·         Tare Analysis

·         Seed Appearance

·         Bag Analysis

·         Calibration of Scales

·         Down Time Coding

·         Inspect packaged finished products to verify they meet quality standards.

·         Assist with variety cleanouts.

·         Enter data into Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet.

·         Report any deviations from quality parameters.

·         Maintain a clean work area and follow safe work practices.

·         Stand and walk for extended periods in an industrial and warehouse setting.

·         Work near and with industrial equipment such as Delinter, Dryer, Buffer, Cleaner, Gravity Tables, Seed Tanks, Shakers, Conveyors, Baggers, Scales, Palletizer, Wrapper, Forklifts, Trucks, and Loading Ramp.

·         Utilize lab equipment including Temperature Probe, pH Meter, Beakers, Distilled Water, Buffers, Scales, Bushel Weight Apparatus, and Seed Counter.

·         Cross-train with QA Cottonseed Technician laboratory duties as needed.

Work Environment:

·         Primarily industrial/warehouse and laboratory settings.

·         Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, coveralls, gloves, safety boots, and hardhat (provided by the company).

·         N95 Mask Required 

 Schedule: To be determined. Training schedule will be M-F 07:00 - 15:30 or M-F 06:00 -14:30.

Requirements:

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tests for extended periods.

·         Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).

·         Capability to work closely with other team members on a daily basis.

·         Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and handle industrial equipment.

·         Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
