QA Plant Monitor

Our Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their  team in Bapchule, AZ. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day seed quality testing to ensure the highest quality cottonseed is produced. The ideal candidate has quality assurance experience and/or an agricultural background and is comfortable working in both lab and plant settings with varying temperatures (hot/cold).

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor seed quality (e.g., immature seeds, cracks, seed color).
• Ensure production equipment settings (cleaner, gravity tables, color sorter, and printhead) are correct.
• Conduct seed quality tests in both the lab and QA Pod at the plant.
• Perform calibration of testing equipment and document results.
• Test for acid concentration in seed.
• Enter and ensure accurate information in plant monitoring spreadsheets.
• Conduct sampling of bagged and bulk seed as directed.
• Perform seed count tests for production settings.
• Inspect transport vehicles before loading to ensure compliance.
• Assist with variety cleans to prevent cross-contamination.
• Participate in cross-training in the Cottonseed Quality Assurance Lab as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure seed equipment is functioning properly.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations (e.g., Confined Space procedures, LOTO procedures, Climbing Ladders).
• Assist with seed returns, shipping of finished goods, delinting, and treating as needed.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure the highest industry standards for seed quality.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Site Manager, Plant Manager, Shift Supervisor, or designee.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Preferred: Quality assurance experience and/or agricultural background
• Ability to handle and lift 50lb bags as needed
• Strong mechanical abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Comfortable working in a plant setting with hot and cold temperatures
