Major utility company in downtown Detroit is looking for a contract Project Engineer with experience in Facilities Management to join their team! 
 
 

This long-term contract role (possibility for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $43/hour.



Job Title: Engineering Design Evaluator

Location: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 2 days remote (Monday and Friday)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Engineering Design Evaluator to perform engineering design evaluations and manage projects within budget and scheduling constraints. The individual will review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they will assess reports on production, malfunctions, and maintenance to identify and resolve issues. The role provides technical support throughout the engineering process and requires familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering design evaluations.
  • Complete projects within budget and schedule restraints.
  • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data accuracy, security, and regulations.
  • Analyze production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to identify and address issues.
  • Provide technical support for the engineering process.
  • Adhere to instructions and pre-established guidelines under general supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with the project engineering team to facilitate the transfer of investment planning activities, addressing backlogs currently within investment planning.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Ability to work under general supervision with limited need for independent judgment.
