Job Description

Our client, a major utility company, is looking to add some Program Managers to their Rebates team in Detroit, MI.
 
 
This long term contract position (eligible for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $43.25/hour (benefits are available).  

Position is a hybrid role (selected candidate must work up to 3 days/week in the office).

 

Job Summary


The Make-Ready Rebates Project Manager will support successful execution of the Company’s Business Charger Rebates and eFleet Charger Rebates programs under the Charging Forward umbrella. That includes processing of rebate applications, managing internal and external customer relationships, reporting and forecasting program metrics, and performing analysis as requested. Critical skills for the role include relationship building, working independently, delivering results with little direction, time management, and follow through.

 

Key Accountabilities


Project and Relationship Management and Coordination:

  • Process all rebate applications for Business and eFleet Charger Rebate projects.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely action items and deliverables across
    multiple work pathways:
    - External applicants responsible to submit all required documentation, including consultation and guidance for successful deployments.
    - External electrical installers responsible charger installation.
    - External network providers qualified under our rebate programs, ensuring charger activation on the network.
    Internal distribution operations colleagues (engineers and planners) for sites requiring upgrades.
    - Internal marketing and corporate communication teams to help ensure marketing plans and communication channels meet customer needs.
  • Stay current on EV program regulations, contracts/agreements, electric utility rates, and connecting customer processes, providing consulting advice.         


Business Analytics and Planning:


  • Support analysis of the strategic, operational, and financial impacts of rebate applications, making recommendations for approval or rejection.
  • Support with reporting on program-related metrics and contribute to the development of organizational scorecards. Help develop detailed financial forecasts for project budget planning.
  • Assist in setting annual forecasts and targets for make-ready rebates.

Special Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Lead special assignments and projects as needed. Utilize continuous improvement tools to identify defects and enhance processes.                                   

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following three options:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline and 3 years of marketing or related experience; o
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline and 5 years of marketing or related experience; o
  • High school diploma in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline and 7 years of marketing or related experience
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, marketing, or an engineering-related technical field


Other Requirements
Project management skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while demonstrating strong analytical and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven abilities to cohesively defend or justify recommendations.
  • Ability to work professionally with individuals at all levels of the corporation and with outside
  • Financial analysis and modeling skills.
