Job Description

Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Production Technician to support their team at their Savannah, GA site.

 

This contract position (possibility of extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $$23.00/hour.

 

 

Work Schedule: 

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00PM 
Overtime when needed.

 

 

 A Production Technician in the Manufacturing Unit works from specific verbal and/or written instructions to operate the appropriate process equipment to produce a consistent product.


Major Responsibilities:

 

  • Loads and unloads process equipment
  • Operates process equipment to maintain product within customer specifications
  • Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area
  • Follows all safety regulations
  • Operate forklift
  • Maintain lot integrity by keeping accurate batch/run sheets
  • Knowledge of safety regulations associated with a chemical operation
  • Knowledge of proper material handling procedures
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Able to work in hot or cold environments
  • Ability to stand extended amounts of time

 

 


Job Requirements

Qualifications 

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience operating a jockey truck
