? Location: Detroit, MI
? Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM | 5 Days/Week (Some Weekends Required)
? Pay: $45 – $54/hour | Contract: June 23 – Sept 20, 2025 | 40 Hours/Week

Join a respected healthcare system at the heart of Detroit as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) and contribute to life-saving diagnostics in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This is a contract opportunity with competitive pay and the potential for extension.
? Position Summary
Under the supervision of senior technologists, team leads, or lab supervisors, the Medical Lab Technician performs routine and moderately complex lab procedures on blood and other specimens using manual methods and laboratory instrumentation. This position also requires phlebotomy as needed.
? Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on patient samples according to protocols
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments
- Accurately record and report test results in the lab information system
- Assist with specimen processing and phlebotomy (if needed)
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with lab standards
✅ Qualifications
Required Education & Certification:
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science
- Certification from ASCP or NCA (or other nationally recognized certifying body)
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated technical and theoretical knowledge in laboratory procedures
- Ability to follow instructions, protocols, and safety procedures precisely
? Schedule & Compensation
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Monday through Friday, occasional weekend shifts may be required
- Start Date: June 23, 2025 | End Date: September 20, 2025
- Pay Range: $45–$54/hour
