Our client. a medical supply company, is looking to add several Medical Billing professionals with DME billing experience to their team in Wixom, MI.

* This is a contract-to-hire position with a pay rate of $17-$19/hour based on experience (benefits are available) *

New Hire Orientation Starts March 17th

Position Overview:

The DME Biller will be responsible for processing durable medical equipment (DME) claims, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and managing payer information updates. This role includes claims follow-up, resubmissions, and collections while maintaining compliance with insurance guidelines and company policies.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of billing and collections, including claims submission and follow-up.
• Work assigned reports, including aging reports (over 120 days), timely filing reports, credit balance reports, and rejection reports.
• Research and resolve rejected claims, ensuring corrections are made and resubmissions are completed with supporting documentation.
• Post payments and rejections accurately.
• Resolve billing inquiries and issues with clients, caregivers, and insurance companies.
• Contact payers or utilize payer websites to check claim status and reprocess claims when necessary.
• Update and maintain patient information as required.
• Assist with cash posting and other reporting tasks as assigned.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the billing department and management.

Position Details:

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Monday – Friday, day shift
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in DME billing and coding.
• Experience with insurance claims collections.
• Background in Medicare and/or Medicaid billing.
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing processes.
• Experience with EDI transmission is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Equipment is not provided – candidates must have a working computer and high-speed internet.
