Job Summary
Our client is seeking dependable Material Handlers to support recycling and material movement operations within a fast-paced facility. This role is responsible for moving recyclable materials throughout the facility, conducting material grading, and evaluating materials for appropriate sale destinations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Move materials throughout the facility using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, hoists, and cranes, as required
Load materials into vehicles and secure loads using strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit
Use PC tablets to send and receive information including part numbers, quantities, locations, and work comments
Transport materials from storage areas or work sites to designated processing or staging areas
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials, or mark required information on cases, bales, or containers
Accurately document work performed in accordance with operational requirements
Conduct material audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination, and background check, including prior employment and criminal history
High school diploma or GED
Zero to four years of related work experience
