Manufacturing Engineer Associate
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay Range: $28–$33 per hour
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer Associate is an entry-level position within the operations engineering team, responsible for designing and improving components and tooling that support manufacturing processes. This role involves developing mechanical designs, supporting process improvements, and ensuring that products meet engineering standards for quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the design of new or improved components, tooling, and fixtures in alignment with engineering standards.
Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision.
Create and revise CAD drawings and layouts, including tolerance stack-up analyses.
Support prototype builds and follow projects through production implementation.
Generate bills of material, assembly drawings, and other project documentation.
Contribute to cost-effective part selection and design improvements.
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Apply knowledge of material science and manufacturing processes to support design efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency with CAD modeling software.
Understanding of mechanical design principles and tolerance analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating tools, jigs, or fixtures for manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with CATIA software.
Exposure to manufacturing processes and equipment.
Internship or prior experience in an engineering or production environment.
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
