Our client, a major chemical manufacturer in Cincinnati, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team.  This contract position, with the potential for extension or direct hire, offers a competitive starting pay rate of $25 - $28 per hour, along with benefits.

The Logistics Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting supply chain operations in North America, ensuring top-notch service levels for internal and external customers while focusing on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Execute a high volume of SAP transactions with a strong ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
• Create stock transfer orders to facilitate reverse logistics, particularly for product returns.
• Collaborate closely with the Customer Service team to ensure timely and accurate processing of return orders.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies at third-party warehouses and provide support for inventory reconciliation.
• Perform batch/lot code renaming to correct inventory master data.
• Process freight invoices rejected from third-party audits, adhering to timeline expectations.
• Investigate root causes of freight invoice errors to prevent future rejections and enhance overall processes.
• Deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient logistics solutions to meet customer and business needs.
• Share innovative and sustainable solutions with partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate inventory management at third-party warehouses and bulk terminals.
• Support service providers to ensure high-quality deliveries to customers.
• Provide top-quality logistics expertise to internal business groups.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to service providers.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule and adjust loading appointments.

• Recent experience directly supporting Supply Chain Operations and Logistics-Required
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve SAP discrepancies and issues- Required
• Strong Excel skills- Required
• SAP experience- Strongly Preferred
