We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator for 1st shift in a prototype shop in Auburn Hills.

Schedule is 6AM - 4:30PM - Plenty of OT

Candidates MUST have at least 4 years' proven experience.

Compensation is negotiable. Experience with Tebis software and 5 Axis in a prototype shop is highly desired.

This is a prototype shop. No production runs. Additional information below:

• At least 4 – 6 years experience.

• Experience with NTC 5-axis lasers preferably

• Salary , depending upon experience.

• Direct hire.

• Must be detailed oriented, punctual, and a team player.

• Must be able to read blue prints.

• Select proper cutting programs, and proper laser fixtures.

• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.

• Must have knowledge of quality control system.

• Assist quality department in part buy off.

• Perform paperwork requirements and other duties as assigned.

• Setup and perform all laser operations.

• Set up jobs, changes, buy-offs and Programming with the teach-box on NTC lasers

• Build and weld fixtures

• Deburr parts

• Punch tooling holes

• Cut parts

• Ensure proper tagging of finished parts for correct routing

• Clean up at end of shift

• Review line up and address any concerns with Supervisor

• Maintain machines and perform all PM activities on a timely basis

• Keep lasers aligned
