Laborer
Location: Burnsville, MN Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Shift : 1st Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Summary:
The Laborer performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision at the landfill site. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by picking up debris on and around the landfill and assigning with general site maintenance as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Pick up debris and litter throughout the landfill and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate basic hand tools and assist with site maintenance.
- Perform groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, or cleaning as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Up to 4 years of related labor experience preferred.

- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Work Environment
- Work is performed outdoors and involves exposure to dirt, noise, odors, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds throughout the day.
- May occasionally be exposed to occupational risks such as cuts or minor injuries.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the site. Steel-toe boots are required.
