Job Summary
The Laborer performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision. This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding work, follow safety protocols, and assist with multiple field-related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks such as lifting and moving materials, loading/unloading vehicles, digging/refilling holes, mowing grass, trimming, and basic equipment operation.
- Support crews with various activities in a helping or assisting role.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Handle tools, equipment, and materials responsibly and report any issues or hazards to supervisors.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
- Must provide all personal protective equipment (PPE) including:
- Steel-toed boots
- Long-sleeve shirts (dusty environment)
- Long pants (no rips or tears)
- Employer will supply high-visibility vest, safety glasses, hard hats, and gloves initially, but replacement PPE must be supplied by the employee.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 0–4 years of previous labor or related experience.
Work Environment
- Work requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, carrying, bending, and operating tools and equipment.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, odors, and outdoor weather conditions.
- May occasionally involve occupational risks such as cuts, burns, or exposure to chemicals.
- Manual labor setting with emphasis on physical stamina and attention to safety.
