Job Description

A major chemical manufacturer has an opening for a Lab Tech to support their R&D EDD Dispersions team in Charlotte. 
 

 

This long-term contract position offers a pay rate of $18 hourly. (Benefits Available.) 

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Standard Daytime Hours

 

Responsibilities:


1. Work with Research Scientists:Collaborate with scientists to test polymers for the construction market.
2. Complete Laboratory Projects: Support Polymer Research & Development for construction applications through various lab projects.
3. Maintenance and Calibration: Perform activities to maintain ISO compliance, including maintenance and calibration tasks.
4. Safety Adherence: Maintain a high standard of safety in all lab activities.
5. Team Collaboration: Work within the laboratory team, assisting with equipment repairs and interfacing with manufacturers, contractors, and site facilities.
6. Project Assistance: Assist other technicians as needed in the completion of development projects.
7. Ideation: Generate ideas to improve safety, efficiency, and overall effectiveness of the laboratory and its team.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, preferably chemistry.
  • Previous lab experience preferred.
  • No medical clearances required; no respirator used.
  • Will primarily work with water-based chemicals.
