Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer)

Pay Rate: $45–$62 per hour

Contract Role with Long-Term Potential
Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Dearborn, MI, is seeking two skilled Radiologic Technologists (Radiographers) to join their allied clinical team within the Anesthesia Pain Department. This is a long-term contract role offering competitive pay and the potential for extension or direct hire.
Position Summary
Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures to assist in the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by physicians. This role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Preparation: Explain procedures, prepare patients, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Radiographic Imaging: Utilize appropriate techniques and positioning to obtain high-quality diagnostic images using fixed or mobile equipment.
- Radiation Safety: Apply ALARA principles and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Clinical Support: Prepare sterile equipment, replenish supplies, and support the needs of the department for seamless operation.
- Documentation: Accurately complete records, imaging logs, PACS/RIS entries, and all billing-related documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Uphold service standards (AIDET), train new hires/students as needed, and foster a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification:
- ARRT registered in Radiography or registry-eligible (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
- BCLS certification (Healthcare Provider level) required.
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in a radiologic setting preferred; new graduates considered.
Work Environment
- May work in fixed units and/or mobile settings (OR, ER, inpatient).
- Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients (proper PPE and safety protocols provided).
- Requires ability to lift or move patients/equipment over 10 lbs occasionally.
