Our client is seeking a HR Operations Specialist I to support payroll accuracy and HR data validation in advance of payroll processing. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional with strong data validation skills and experience supporting payroll readiness.
Position Overview
The HR Associate supports payroll accuracy by administering and validating payroll-impacting HR transactions before payroll cutoff. The focus is on preventing errors upstream and ensuring clean payroll handoffs.
Key Responsibilities
Administer payroll-impacting HR transactions (pay changes, job changes, LOAs, transfers, terminations)
Validate data including earnings, deductions, tax setups, and effective dates
Identify discrepancies and resolve prior to payroll close
Partner with Payroll Tax teams to correct pre-payroll issues
Manage Tier 2 cases related to payroll readiness
Support continuous improvement initiatives for data quality
Maintain SOPs and payroll-readiness documentation
Qualifications
Required:
2–4 years of HR operations, payroll support, or HRIS experience
Understanding of how HR transactions impact payroll and taxes
Experience with Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP, or similar systems
Strong analytical and data validation skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate setting
Preferred:
Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Manufacturing industries
Experience supporting large enterprise organizations
