Our client is seeking a Senior HR Operations Specialist (Tier 2) to serve as a subject matter expert in pre-payroll administration and payroll-impacting HR data within a large, complex enterprise environment.
This is a high-visibility role supporting payroll readiness, tax compliance, and HR data validation before payroll execution.
Position Overview
The Senior Associate leads payroll readiness efforts and serves as an escalation point for complex payroll-impacting HR transactions. This role focuses on proactive risk identification and prevention — not payroll processing — ensuring accurate data before payroll runs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre-payroll validation and readiness checks
Identify payroll and tax risks prior to payroll execution
Administer complex payroll-impacting HR transactions
Serve as escalation point for payroll tax and HR data issues
Partner with Payroll, HRIS, CI, and Tax teams
Support audit preparation and payroll readiness reviews
Coach Tier 1 and Tier 2 associates
Maintain and enhance SOPs and training materials
Support workflow improvements and process controls
Qualifications
Required:
4–7+ years of HR operations, payroll support, or HRIS experience
Strong understanding of payroll readiness and payroll tax impact
Advanced HRIS and payroll systems experience (Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP)
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience in shared services or HR Service Center environments
Enterprise experience (10,000+ employees preferred)
Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment
