Job Description
Our client is looking for an Onboarding Analyst to join their team.
This is a contract role budgeted for 6 months with a possible extension and a pay rate of $23 hourly.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the onboarding process and make decisions to ensure a positive candidate experience by handling day-to-day operations
- Build trust with candidates by establishing yourself as the main point of contact, addressing and resolving candidates’ requests, concerns and IT access inquiries in a timely manner
- Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders, coaching them throughout the onboarding process and supporting the development of resources and tools to enhance their experience; be a champion of best practices to aid enhancing the onboarding experience
- Accelerate onboarding process by proactively engaging with candidates, providing advice, assistance, and follow-up for onboarding procedures and company policies as needed
- Engage with and instruct the Talent Selection Team, Security, Employee Health, HFH University, IT, and Compliance how to facilitate completion of onboarding transactions and activities, including I-9 processing, pre-hire modules and other requirements of employment related to their areas of control within the onboarding process
- Manage the flow of pre-employment screenings, onboarding sessions, and new hire orientations for compliance with HFH policy and Joint Commission and CMS audits
- Develop strong partnerships with members of Talent Selection building a team support approach behind the successful recruiting, offer and onboarding process for each candidate
- Engage with background check vendor to verify criminal, education, employment, certifications, etc. Are completed and cleared prior to the candidates’ start dates
- Perform audits and reviews documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
- Manage steps of resetting start dates when necessary due to delays in onboarding process
- Engage with hiring leaders and HR partners when candidate/onboarding changes will alter previous start expectations
- Rescind and re-extend offers as needed
- Attend hiring fairs at any of our Henry Ford Health locations or other event locations
- Perform other supporting activities as needed
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, business or retail role preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and produce work that consistently meets or exceeds team benchmarks
- Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes
- Strong business insight and understanding of cross-functional work
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively with team members and provide extraordinary customer service
- Customer focused, responsive with a sense of urgency
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and proficient in MS Office preferred
- B.S. or B.A. in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
