Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to join their team at their facility in Acampo, CA 

This is a long-term contract role with a Pay Rate of $18 - $22/hour, based on experience. (Possible extension or direct hire. Benefits Avaialble) 

This role is crucial for maintaining greenhouse structures, climate control systems, and supporting the growth of new plant varieties. Ideal candidates will have experience in greenhouse maintenance or construction, and be willing to take on various technical and operational responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on climate control systems, greenhouse structures, and equipment.
• Identify technical solutions and improvements for daily greenhouse operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the creation of new plant varieties.
• Safely operate vehicles, forklifts, and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
• Obtain a pesticide private applicator license and apply pesticides using a respirator.
• Monitor growing conditions, including fertigation, lighting, pests, and environmental factors.
• Use modern computer systems to manage irrigation, climate control, and greenhouse operations.
• Independently follow standard operating procedures and perform troubleshooting on irrigation systems and greenhouse infrastructure.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks outside of regular working hours, such as irrigation, pest control, and security checks, as needed. Compensation provided for these duties.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in greenhouse maintenance or as a maintenance/construction technician.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new greenhouse management systems.
• Ability to work weekends and after hours when necessary.
• Driver’s license and commitment to QHSE standards.
