Food Assembler – Day Shift
Shift: 4:00am - 12:30pm (For candidates that utilize public transportation, a 7:00am start time can be accommodated)
Location: Honolulu, HI
Assignment Duration: 5 week contract
Pay Rate Range: $18.00
Summary
The Food Assembler is responsible for completing and assembling food items on upright carts and airline equipment, including full tray setups. Tray setups must follow airline specifications and typically include a tray, paper liner, cup, plates, dessert, salad, snacks, bread, butter, condiments, and eating utensils. This role supports streamlined fulfillment processes and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to food handling standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble food trays and airline meal components according to detailed airline specifications.
- Prepare, portion, and organize food items including proteins, salads, desserts, snacks, and condiments.
- Load and arrange completed trays onto carts and airline equipment.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet production goals.
Work Requirements
- Ability to work the assigned schedule, including multiple shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Must arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to handle fish, beef, pork, poultry, shellfish, and other food products.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
