Job Description
Our client, a specialty automotive manufacturer, is looking for Automotive Field Technicians to assist their team in Mishawaka, IN!
This is a long-term contract opportunity, paying $36-38/hour.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load tools to shelter according to provided work instructions.
- Interior and Exterior touch-up painting: Mask, prep and paint enclosure.
- Perform warranty repairs including, but not limited to: decals, heat exchangers, tires and alternators
- Work defect list created by inspector and perform general repairs including, but not limited to: rivets, mechanical and wire harness routings.
- Serve as advisor and technical consultant for both technical information and use of special tools
- Provide vehicle technical support
- Complete inspection forms, daily reports and process audits.
- Work with Quality and Manufacturing engineering on process improvements and corrective action investigations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2-5+ year’ s experience in Automotive, Defense or manufacturing related field.
- 2-5+ years commercial and/or HMMWV and automotive inspection, painting and repair experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills as well as a high level of self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma a plus but not mandatory
