We have a great client that is looking for a Design Engineer in Cincinnati, OH!

The Design Engineer will support pre-construction activities and will work alongside the pre-Construction Manager and Technical Manager.  The Design Engineer will have a strong civil engineering background, CAD and 3D experience.  Looking for someone that can come in and learn the company’s business practices and then implement their own transferrable engineering skills into the company’s processes.

Education, Skills, and Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience
• P.E. certification is highly favored but not required.
• Professional Certification preferred: EIT, OSHA 30, CESSWI

Key Activities:

• Design of site improvements including but not limited to; grading, drainage, storm sewer, water, irrigation and coordination of other related utilities involved with sports field
• Participate in design meetings
• Design drawings tailored to project build sites and customer requirements
• Produce detailed supporting documentation for project specifications
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers throughout project execution
• Support the enhancement of athletic field systems

Skills Required:

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Extensive experience with 3D model development and design software
• Proficiency in Civil3D and other relevant Autodesk and Bentley products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Leadership abilities and willingness to mentor junior team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
