COE EE Monitoring & Controls Consultant

Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $60.18/hour
Contract Type: Contract (possible extension)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Overview
Our client is seeking a Monitoring & Controls Consultant to design, implement, and optimize monitoring frameworks that support operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen control environments and deliver data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain monitoring and control frameworks aligned with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Assess existing controls, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements
  • Develop standardized methodologies for ongoing monitoring and issue remediation
  • Analyze operational and compliance data to identify trends and risk indicators
  • Build dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools for business stakeholders
  • Support internal audit and compliance activities, including control testing and remediation follow-up
  • Evaluate and assist with implementation of monitoring technologies and automation tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on monitoring strategy, controls, and risk mitigation
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder presentations
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Risk Management, or related field
  • Experience in monitoring, internal controls, compliance, or risk management
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
  • Experience in energy, manufacturing, finance, or IT consulting environments
  • Familiarity with COSO, ISO 27001, or NIST frameworks
  • Experience with automation, system monitoring tools, or control testing technologies
  • Certifications such as CISA, CRMA, PMP, or similar
