Customer Service Representative II (Hybrid – Detroit, MI)
Pay Rate: $19/hour (Benefits Available)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Hybrid (Tues–Thurs On-Site Starting July 1st)
Location: Detroit, MI
Type: Contract | Long-term – Possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate.
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Customer Claims Analyst to join their fast-paced operations team. This hybrid role requires a strong mix of investigative, technical, and customer service skills. You will be responsible for resolving damage claims, conducting root-cause analysis, and communicating directly with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims by accessing and analyzing data across multiple internal and external systems (SAP, CRM, Databricks, Microsoft Suite, Power BI).
- Initiate outbound calls to customers and internal business units to follow up on claim status and gather missing information.
- Document inquiries and resolutions accurately in claim tracking systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to expedite resolution of customer issues.
- Provide high-level customer service, balancing empathy with efficiency.
- Adapt to evolving workflows, timelines, and priorities in a hybrid environment.
- May assist in training junior customer service team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, claims, or a related administrative role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be comfortable working with complex data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and exposure to Power BI and Databricks.
- Familiarity with SAP, CRM systems, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Typing speed of 45 WPM preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a deadline-driven environment.
- High level of professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Hybrid Work Requirements:
- Must be able to report on-site in Detroit Tuesdays through Thursdays starting July 1st, 2024 (1 day per week required until then).
