Member Advocate Representative – Onsite Help Center
Location: Gallup, NM 87301
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $29.57/hour
Contract: 90-day contract with potential for extension or temp-to-perm placement

Our client is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Member Advocate Representative to join their onsite Help Center team in Gallup, NM. This position plays a critical role in supporting Medicaid enrollment, regulatory compliance, and community engagement—particularly within McKinley County and among Navajo/Diné populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Services: Provide front-line support including member greeting, ID card requests, and issue resolution.
Health Risk Assessments (HRAs): Assist members—especially non-English speakers—in completing timely and accurate HRAs.
Transition of Care (TOC): Coordinate services for members transitioning between care settings to ensure continuity of care.
Medicaid Eligibility Support: Guide prospective members through the Medicaid application process to drive enrollment growth.
Community Outreach: Represent our client at local events to build community trust and convert leads into active members.
Redetermination Efforts: Proactively engage members to maintain Medicaid eligibility and minimize care disruption.
Broker-Agent Relations: Serve as a liaison with broker agents across Northwest New Mexico, focusing on member outreach and retention.
Impact Areas:
Drive high lead conversion rates (85%+) at community events and onsite.
Support membership growth through active Medicaid assistance and education.
Ensure regulatory compliance through thorough TOC and redetermination outreach.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of experience in Medicaid support or lived experience as a Medicaid recipient or caregiver
Bilingual preferred, particularly English and Navajo/Diné
Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) preferred
Presumptive Eligibility Determiner (PED) certification a plus
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High level of cultural competence and empathy
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Technical Requirements: Dual monitors and a docking station required
Additional Notes:
This position is being offered as a 90-day contract to support staffing needs while two team members complete a required break in service. If those individuals do not return, there is a strong possibility for contract extension or permanent hire.
