Senior Mechanical Engineer
Pay Rate: $61.07/hour
Location: Oshkosh, WI (local candidates preferred)
Duration: Contract through 3/31/2026, with possibility of extension

Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and develop heavy-duty vehicle components that are functional, reliable, and cost-effective. This role supports both new product development and existing vehicle improvements, with responsibilities in engineering analysis, design integration, and execution support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and design tasks in line with industry standards.
- Lead or support projects of moderate complexity, including managing multiple tasks or workstreams.
- Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Provide technical support to production and assist with issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, designers, or technicians.
- Create and maintain technical reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.
- Utilize CAD (Creo, PTC, Windchill) and analytical tools to model and optimize designs.
- Ensure compliance with engineering criteria, drawing standards, and company processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of related engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems.
- Experience with advanced CAD systems (Creo, PTC, Windchill).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
