Mechanical Engineer
Pay Rate: $42.30/hour
Location: Oshkosh, WI – Onsite at the Global Technology Center (local candidates preferred)
Schedule: Full-time, standard shift hours

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and develop heavy-duty vehicle components that are reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with engineering standards. This role involves supporting engineering projects, performing calculations, creating drawings, and contributing to both new product development and existing product improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and design tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with the preparation of plans, designs, specifications, and bills of material.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Provide technical support for production and resolve engineering issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, drawing criteria, and company processes.
- Utilize CAD and analytical methods to model performance and optimize designs.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- At least 6 months of relevant work experience or engineering internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems.
- Experience with advanced CAD systems.
- Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- Office and shop floor environment with routine shift hours.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and computer use.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Some periods of fast-paced deadlines and task changes.
