Job Description
Overview
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for some Chemical Lab Technicians for their site in Hillsboro, OR.
These long-term contract positions (eligible for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offer a starting pay rate of $22/hour (benefits are available).
Chemistry Lab experience (professional or academic) is required.

Chemistry lab technicians assist chemists in their lab work. As time progresses, lab technicians are completing a greater number of tasks that previously would have been performed by highly trained chemists. Technicians are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance. Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions. They also conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Science
- Prefer degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science
- Previous hands-on lab experience required (academic or professional)
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role is strongly preferred
- Previous Wet Chemistry Experience
