Job Title: Release/Change Manager (Contract)
Location: Houston, TX – Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
Duration: Through December 2026
Hours: 40 per week | 1st Shift (9am–5pm)
Pay: $60.55 - $69.56/hour
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Release/Change Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of software and infrastructure releases while managing change control processes across enterprise digital services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless deployments and minimal disruption to operations, supporting large-scale initiatives across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate software/infrastructure releases across multiple platforms and teams.
Conduct release readiness reviews and manage go/no-go checkpoints.
Develop deployment runbooks and implementation plans.
Ensure compliance with version control and configuration management processes.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams for successful deployments.
Manage the lifecycle of all changes in alignment with IT governance policies.
Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and document outcomes.
Maintain change calendars and coordinate with stakeholders to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Track and report on change metrics including success rates and incident impact.
Support project managers in planning and tracking initiatives.
Create and maintain annual release/change calendars.
Serve as liaison between infrastructure, development, and business teams.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in release and/or change management roles.
Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and SDLC.
Proven experience managing large-scale deployments across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification.
Experience in waste management, utilities, or logistics industries.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrated success driving process improvements in a hybrid work model.
