Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48236
Pay Rate: $27 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Contract Length: 6-month assignment (07/07/2025 – 10/04/2025) with possible extension

Make a Critical Impact in Patient Safety
We are seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Ascension St. John Hospital. In this essential role, you will ensure all surgical instruments and medical supplies are sterilized, processed, and ready to support high-quality patient care across hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- Read and interpret temperature gauges and other sterilization indicators
- Prepare sterile packs and supplies for distribution to clinical staff
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory of central supply items
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of one of the following:
- Aide training program
- Central Technician program
- 6+ months of previous Central Supply experience
- NICHSPDP Certification (required for this role)
- Basic math and reading skills (ability to read gauges, add, subtract, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sterile processing (preferred for this assignment)
