Overview


Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract Technician- Production to work onsite at their production facility in Wyandotte, MI. 


THIS IS A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION OR DIRECT HIRE WITH A PAY RATE OF $18.00 - $20.00/HOUR. (BENEFITS AVAILABLE) 

 

Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Wyandotte, MI
Schedule: Full-time, rotating shifts (shift work required)


Position Summary:


This is a hands-on manufacturing role supporting operations across the production facility. Technicians will interface directly with products, machinery, and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, shut down, and start up de-flashing units

  • Perform a variety of manufacturing and assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Use equipment such as electric pallet jacks, pneumatic tools, bin lifters, hand-held air wands, scan guns

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, perform routine safety checks on equipment

  • Assist with product and equipment changeovers

  • Accurately enter data into HMI (Human Machine Interface) and LAN systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and with team support

  • Handle material movement between lines and staging areas

  • Actively participate in Cellasto Big Deal program and monthly safety meetings

  • May be assigned to train others on department operations

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience (machine operation preferred)

  • Functional knowledge of English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)

  • Basic math skills and experience with measurement tools (rulers, gages, etc.)

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and sit for extended periods

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

  • Proficient with manual and automated controls and general computer use

  • Safety-first mindset and commitment to attendance and adaptability

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and long pants are required at all times.


Additional Requirements:

  • SAM/PSI assessment must be completed and passed prior to submission

  • CHR required after offer (includes job-specific screening and clearances):

    • Hearing Conservation

    • ISO

    • Mobile Equipment (for forklift roles)

    • MVR (for Mobile Equipment operators)
