Bookkeeper
Job Description
We have a great client that is looking for a Bookkeeper in Auburn Hills, MI!
Direct hire opportunity, schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am – 3:30 pm, overtime occasionally.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Experience with general bookkeeping, accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Prepare packing slips/shippers along with any extra shipping documentation that may be required based on customer needs. aka barcodes, commercial invoices, certificate of origins
- Prepare bills, emailing invoices to customers
- Verify discrepancies and resolve customers’ billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Data entry skills & detail orientated
- Process/enter invoices, ensuring accuracy
- Reconcile vendor statements & resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close processes & provide support for audits
- Work with external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies
- Assist with other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software QuickBooks
- MS Office experience
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
