Overview

 

Our client is looking to add a contract Biological Technician to their group in Memphis, TN 

 

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Job Description
  • This position will be working in lab and greenhouse performing the following duties: 
  • Assisting in planting, inoculating, and evaluating plants to screen for disease resistances; Maintaining suitable conditions for proper plant growth; 
  • Preparing for culture media; 
  • Assisting in lab, headhouse and greenhouse sanitation practices including devitalization processing of all regulated breeding materials. 
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Candidates may get dirty due to working with plants and soil.
 

Candidates must pay attention to the details and be able to follow safety and stewardship rules, stand for long periods of time, and lift 50 lbs. Candidates may get dirty due to working with plants and soil.  Education: High school diploma or GED - BS Science Degree

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent- Required
  • Bachelor Degree- Preferred
  • Experience working with plants and/or insects- Strongly Preferred
  • Must be able to pay attention to the details and follow safety and stewardship rules 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
