Job Description
Overview
Our client is looking to add a contract Biological Technician to their group in RTP.
The Biological Technician is responsible for rearing insects and maintaining plants in a greenhouse.
Responsibilities
Rearing responsibilities include preparing rearing materials, transferring and collecting insects, filling in data forms, and cleaning reusable materials.
Greenhouse responsibilities involve filling pots, seeding, watering, monitoring plant pests, and discarding unused plant material.
Candidate must have hands-on experience working with insects in a lab or greenhouse environment.
Schedule
Day shift and most holidays plus weekends on a rotating basis.
Pay Rate
$20-$21

- Experience working with insects and/or caring for plants in a greenhouse environment- Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent- Required
- Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree- Preferred
