Badging Specialist
Job Description
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Badging Specialist to join the team at their site in Florham Park, NJ
THIS IS A LONG-TERM CONTRACT POSITION with a pay rate of $20-25 hourly based on experience.
100% ONSITE 20 hours a week/4 hour shifts.
Flexibility around scheduling: Candidate can work 12-4 pm or 4 pm to 8 pm. ....in time may grow to 40 hours/week.
The person will be working mostly independently.
Must have SOLID advanced EXCEL/ MS software abilities.
Experience in the security industry PREFERRED.
GREAT position for a retiree looking to pick up some part-time hours.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate must have advanced computer skills and proficiency, and be organized with strong attention to detail. Experience within a Security Operations Center or Role is a plus.
- Executing all activities and tasks related to creating and maintaining badging credentials for our service sites.
- Verify the accuracy of the information given to you, contact requestors when in doubt
- Must be quality-oriented and be able to multi-task as this position will be responsible for processing all aspects of badging for employees and contractors in the US
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Create and maintain security badges for employees, visitors, and contractors:
- Verify identification and employment status of badge applicants
- Manage database of security badges, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of updates
- Provide technical support to badge users and troubleshoot any issues related to badge access
- Collaborate with security team to identify potential security risks and suggest improvements to the security access system
- Respond to inquiries and requests from employees, visitors, and contractors regarding badge access
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed for reconciliation
Job Requirements
- High School education. A college degree or related vocational training is preferred but not required.
- Possesses effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
- As a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with physical access control systems as an operator/user is a plus, as is knowledge of SoftwareHouse CCURE 9000.
- Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time. This is an onsite job-based in Florham Park, NJ
