We have a great client that is looking for a 3rd Shift Assembly Production Manager in Anniston, AL!!
Direct hire opportunity, $90k to $100k salary range.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly supervise 5 to 6 direct reports who supervise a total of 60 – 70 employees in the assembly department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Duties:
- Direct the planning, implementation, and overall work efforts of the assembly area to meet the master production schedule and required work orders.
- Revise schedule according to work order specifications, establish priorities based on availability and/or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
- Ensure the proper and optimum utilization, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Monitor results to ensure departmental goals relative to production, quality and delivery are being met.
- Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
- Review reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise production planning personnel of production delays.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets, as well as monitor and control quality, costs, overtime, income statement and scrap.
- Ensure accuracy and effective utilization of appropriate and/or required records such as monthly inventory, production records, and item master files.
- Develop inventory costing analysis and maintain sales pricing accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping and all GMP standards.
Education and Experience:
- B.S./B.A. or equivalent 7 – 10 years managerial/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in light assembly operations, with knowledge of ultrasonic welding, solvent bonding equipment, hot stampers and other secondary assembly equipment.
- Working knowledge of computer systems applications for reports.
