Job Title: Administrative Assistant / Receptionist
Location: Upland, CA (occasional coverage in Corona, CA)
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Duration: 6-month contract, possible extension or temp-to-perm opportunity
Interview Type: In-person

Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, patient-focused Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this front-desk role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients—many of whom are elderly and undergoing cancer treatment—so empathy, professionalism, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.
This is a patient-facing role only—no incoming phone calls are handled onsite, as all calls are directed through our centralized contact center. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming visitors, checking patients in and out, confirming appointment details, and coordinating with internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and receive all patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • Determine the nature of each visit and notify or coordinate with appropriate personnel
  • Guide patients to the appropriate area or person
  • Log and track patient visit details including names, times, and reason for visit
  • Handle all check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming front office environment
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with EMR systems; EPIC strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Compassionate demeanor and ability to communicate patiently with elderly or vulnerable populations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
