Job Ad: Applications Contract Associate (Entry-Level)
Location: Southfield, MI – 100% Onsite
Pay Range: Up to $19/hr (High School or GED) | Up to $21/hr (Associate’s degree or higher)
Schedule: Primarily weekdays, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (afternoon shift) after up to 2 months training on the day shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Applications Contract Associate to join our client’s automotive coatings laboratory. This is a physically active role where you will receive on-the-job training and work in a hands-on environment supporting experimental paint applications and related testing.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare automotive coatings test panels/parts using automated application equipment.
Perform equipment metrology, preventative maintenance, and coatings tests accurately.
Maintain proper documentation, records, and prioritize work effectively.
Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials; maintain a clean work area and comply with all safety protocols.
Participate in experimental spray trials and support the painting process lab team.
Follow corporate and site safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework in chemistry or math preferred.
At least 1 year of general work experience; prior lab or industrial experience helpful, but training is provided.
Ability to understand, record, and communicate detailed information accurately.
Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Punctual, dependable, and flexible to adapt to changing priorities or work schedules.
Must pass drug screening and additional medical clearances prior to employment.
